A slave bracelet is also known as a handflower, or harem bracelet.
Its origins seem to be a little unclear; there are some thoughts that they were originally used as a symbol of ownership. They are very common amongst belly dancers and are also known as harem jewellery.
Slave bracelets have become a very popular fashion item, and are often associated with the Gothic and wiccan subculture.
Slave anklets are also known as barefoot sandals and footflowers. They are a piece of foot jewellery that runs around the ankle and the top of the foot, much like a handflower does to the hand. They originated in South Africa, but are most often associated with Goth jewellery and belly dancing.
These have become very popular for beach weddings, where shoes are impractical, but can also be worn under shoes.
Boot chains are also known as boot bracelets, and are worn over boots.
All footflower designs can be used for handflowers and vice versa.
All these items are usually worn singly and are therefore sold as a single item. If apair is required they can be ordered at a discounted price.
