Personal Travel
Apart from the sailing photos I do also like taking photos while travelling, so here are some of the personal travel stuff.
2023 resolved to have a holiday every month and get as much done before I hit 70
January 2024 was New Zealand
Finished 2022 with a Fred Olsen Cruise to Madeira, Lisbon, Vigo & La Corunna.
August 2022 Used 9 Euro ticket to tour Germany and did the German 2.4 Champs and an Umpire seminar in Poland.
Canada 2022 - Started in Nova Scotia, visited Bay of Fundy and St Johns, Quebec, Montreal and Toronto. From Winnepeg took train to Churchill on Hudson Bay before returning to Winnepeg and finishing off on the Canadian to Vancouver.
February 2019 did the Norway coast cruise.
2019 lots of visits to Slovenia
Travel to Isola was a flight to Cologne, then train to Munich and Koper in Slovenia.
Tourist in Malta in 2019 - no Sea Arch
2018 Travel to Malta via Naples and Syracuse.
2018 Decided to do the Flam Railway, as I was due to do 2.4s in Sweden
2018 February - Package holiday to Benidorm from Cardiff.
2017 August Belgium done on my way back from Breskens. Mother in a home.

2016 Euromed Championships gave me a chance to get around Malta and visit Gozo (before the collapse of the Sea Arch)
Early 2014 trip to Dubai as Dubai Offshore Sailing Club needed an International Jury for their Nationals
2014 Travel to Attersee via Saltsburg and Zurich
In late 2012 I took mother on a cruise to the Azores, Canaries, Lisbon and Vigo. Only problem was that it was with P&O
2011 with pat and Mother to see the Severn Bore
2011 trip to Blaenau FFestiniog by rail with mother. She got stuck in the loo on the way back!
Did the 'Trip of a lifeime' in 2010 whilst able and while nothing was happening in Barry. Flew to Fairbanks, Alaska via Seattle. Took the Alaskan Railroad to Seward where I joined a 7 day Royal Carribean Cruise to Vancouver and a couple of days with friends in Vancouver. I then finished off the Coast Starlight to Sacramento, had 2 nights at Yosemite before taking the California Zephyr to Chicago returning to Seattle on the Empire Builder for the flight back.
2009 While in Florida for the 2.4 Worlds and Thistle Midwinters I also tested out a Cruise.
