Wezens met een oog. Beschreven in tal van mythologische verhalen
Wij kijken met twee ogen en hebben daarmee een bepaald wereldbeeld dat wordt bepaald door onze twee hersenhelften en de illusionaire wereld welke wij daartussen scheppen.
Mogelijk zien cyclopen de werkelijkheid veel meer dan wij dat doen.
Bij een oog is er kennelijk sprake van een verbinding en mogelijk een eerder stadium van menszijn.
Er zijn enkele geboorten van baby's met een oog.

Opvallend is het ontbreken van de neus.
In 2006 in de Indische stad Chennai werd ook een kind met een oog geboren Dit kind bleef leven en is door de ouders mee naar huis genomen.

The baby’s nose and nostrils are missing, which adds to the disfigurement. Only one in a million babies is born with this defect, as it is detected early in pregnancy and is always aborted. However, this wasn’t the case this time. A similar case had taken place in Russia too.
The cause of this little baby girl’s deformity is still not determined. But the hospital report’s listing of Cyclopamine offers a very tragic reminder of concerns over the state of Indian medical regulations, which include lax oversight of fertility clinics and low barriers of entry for human drug trials...."

Het gebruik van medicijnen in de eerste weken van de zwangerschap of zelfs het meedoen aan medicijnproeven worden genoemd als mogelijke oorzaak (!)
Er bestaan soorten cyclopen. Sommigen hebben een derde oog naast twee anderen. Anderen hebben slechts een oog in het voorhoofd of op de plaats midden tussen waar in onze beleving normaal gesproken twee ogen zouden zitten.
Interessante vraag is wat deze medicijnen doen met onze erfelijkheid of de groei van een foetus dat er een dergelijke afwijking kan ontstaan.
Cyclopen worden beschreven in de overleveringen als reuzen met een grote eetlust. Zij zouden enorm sterk zijn geweest.
