Welcome

I am an Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), GREECE. I defended my PhD in 2003, at the Nuclear Engineering Department of NTUA (NED-NTUA).

My main expertise is in the thermophysical properties of nuclear reactor coolants. In the course of my PhD I also worked on the metrology of Radon and its progeny indoors and outdoors and also in soil gas. I also worked on the metrology of Radon exhalation rate from bulk building materials and soil and from building structures and earth surface.

To date (2021), I have focused mainly on novel techniques regarding radioactivity measurement, through my research work in the Nuclear Engineering Laboratory at the Nuclear Engineering Department of NTUA.

Here are my Teaching and Research Statements.
