Hello Norwell High School Community!

Welcome back! We are excited to begin another school year.

From hospitality events to appreciate our teachers to generous mini-grants, educational speakers, homecoming, senior events, and the newly implemented Norwell Senior Grad Night Party on the night of graduation, the PTO supports many different impactful activities at NHS.

All parents/guardians and school staff are encouraged to attend the meetings and to volunteer as much as possible. Please reach out to us at any time. This year we have two board vacancies and we will need your volunteer help to fundraise and put on great events. We hope to hear from you!

The entire NHS community benefits greatly from the PTO activities, and you make them possible through your support. For our fundraising efforts to be achievable, we rely on annual dues contributions made by our families, with the suggested amounts below. Last year less than 50 percent of dues were paid which put enormous pressure on a limited number of parents that help fundraise and limits the number of activities and funding requests we can accommodate. 

PTO Suggested Contributions: Your support funds a wide variety of programs for students, staff, and parents. 

• Suggested amounts are $30 for the first student plus $15 for each additional student.

We want to thank everyone for helping the PTO achieve our goal of creating a sense of community and belonging for all faculty, parents, and students. Together we accomplished the goal to reignite school traditions such as spirit week, pep rallies, prom, and senior week.  All your help enabled us to support the students and staff throughout the school year. However, there is so much more that we would like to get done!

Together we raised over $5,000 last school year. This enabled us to:

• Purchase tables and chairs to fill in an empty space an create a place for students to eat lunch, study or “hang out”

• Paid for prom-buses & promenade 

• Beautification of school 

• Provided funds for teacher grant requests

• Provide a free Kona Ice on the first day of school to all students

• Funded and volunteered for the hugely popular Teacher Luncheons

• Provided treats for the teachers & students 

• Purchased gift cards for prizes for students & faculty 

• Organized and provided funds for senior events (i.e., senior balloons $1,000 and volunteers, senior breakfast)

• Funding support for the senior banquet & graduation

• Donated money for Norwell Cares

• Donated $1,000 to the Norwell Parent Coalition

• Dinner for our janitors and much more!

Our plan is to continue working together to ensure that learning and connections take place safely and successfully again this year. We strive to provide vital connections between parents, staff, and administration, keep our Norwell community informed, raise funds to support learning, student well-being and improve school appearance.

DUES:

100% of PTO monies go toward supporting your child. So, please support the PTO so we can help deliver fun events, provide support for teachers and the administration, improve the school's appearance, and boost school pride to make the school atmosphere amazing for your child. Dues of $30 per student can be paid via Venmo (@NHSPTO), PayPal (on our website NHSPTO.org), or by check made payable to NHS PTO.
