All State Voting Procedures
Each Division* may nominate one player per position (Including DP) for a total of 10 players. There will be three rounds of voting with the top 10 players in rounds one and two being named All State First Team and Second Team respectively. The third round of voting will be for Honorable Mention with the top ten players (any position) being named Honorable Mention.
*Division IV will vote for a Pitcher, Catcher, DP and four infield positions and three outfield positions.
Voting will be done by ballot.
All nominations MUST be submitted to respective VPs one week prior to All State meeting. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Once the ballot is developed no changes can be made.
During the All State selection meeting the Varsity Coach is the only voice and vote. Though Assistant Coaches are welcome to attend they have no standing in the process therefore they have no say in the process.
If a Head Coach is unable to attend they must appoint a surrogate from their respective school/program to attend the meeting and cast their (Head Coaches) vote.
Certificates:
All State Certificates for underclassmen will be emailed to Athletic Directors and Varsity Coaches.
The only certificates and awards handed out at the Senior Games are to Senior All State players, Players and Pitchers of the year. The Pitcher of the Year will be the pitcher on the All State 1st Team, Player of the Year will be the player with the most 1st Team votes (unless it is the Pitcher of the Year then it will be the player with the second most votes).
Senior Games Selection Criteria
Coaches will nominate Seniors for the Senior Games on or before the first Monday of June.
Seniors who make All State are automatically selected.
Coaching & Umpire Awards
Coach of the Year: Coaches vote for the Coach of the Year for their respective division at the All State meeting
JV Coach of the Year: Coaches vote for the JV Coach of the Year for their respective division at the All State meeting
NHSCA Service Award: Each division will submit a nomination to their respective VP. All nominations will then be voted upon by the Executive Council. In the case of a tie the Association President will cast the deciding vote.
Glen Colburn Umpire Award: This award alternates across divisions.
All coaching & umpire awards will be given at the Annual Coaches Association Meeting the following March.
