Biography

Professor Hung Nguyen Xuan (H. Nguyen-Xuan) is the Director of CIRTech Institute, HUTECH University, Vietnam. He has been appointed as an adjunct professor of China Medical University (Taiwan) since 2015, and a visiting professor of Sejong University since 2014. He is the President of Vietnam Association for Computational Mechanics. He serves as an editor of Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, associate editor of International Journal of Hydromechatronics, editorial board member of Composite Structures, Computers and Structures, Engineering Facture Mechanics, Underground Space, Computers, Materials & Continua, Biomedicine (CMU), Journal of Micromechanics and Molecular Physics, Vietnam Journal of Mechanics and other journals.

Nguyen-Xuan received his Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics from University of Liège (Belgium). His current research focuses on computational engineering, applied mathematics, data-driven machine learning, 3D printing and hydrogen energy storage.

Dr. Nguyen-Xuan has carried out significant research collaboration with leading research institutions and universities around the world. The national and international cooperation in research has been providing him widespread recognition in the field of computational mechanics. He has published more than 260 peer-reviewed articles.
