Private Lessons

Private Lessons are one of the best ways to enrich your child's musical experience. We encourage every student in orchestra to study with a private teacher. We cannot possibly cover every skill in orchestra with a class of 30 to 65 students. Students can only realize their full potential through one on one attention. Many students also need the extra challenge that private lessons can give. Our orchestra program has a great reputation across the state of Kansas. As a result, Newton is fortunate to have many excellent private teachers. A list of private teachers and their contact information is available in the orchestra rooms at each school or by contacting the newton orchestra teachers (Mrs. Schloneger, Mr. Girton). Your student can take a list home at anytime. Some teachers are associated with the Bethel Academy of Performing Arts. A link to their website is given below. If you have any questions about private lessons, feel free to contact an orchestra teacher. We are happy to help you out in any way possible. Private Lessons information is available in the orchestra rooms at each school or by contacting Mrs. Schloneger or Mr. Girton!
