Getting Connected Additional Helpful Info Meeting IDs

Getting Connected

We use the Zoom video teleconferencing system for all of our meetings.

If You've Used Zoom Before . . .

and if you already know how to join a Zoom meeting, you will need either the join link, or the meeting ID for the meeting you wish to join. Just submit the form below. Tell us you are familiar with Zoom and you would like to join us. We'll send you what you need to join us.

Otherwise If You Are New to Zoom . . .

No worries, you're in good company. Most of us who joined our meetings for the first time had never used Zoom before either. We all were able to join and so will you.

The first thing you'll need to do is download a small, free, Zoom app to the computing device you will be using during the meeting.

Don't worry, it's easy to do and again, it's free! All the information you're likely to need is here available to you.

Click here to be taken to an article and video that tells you what you need to know and do. It's filled with lots of useful information, such as:

  • All the basic information you need to connect.
  • The steps you will need to take to successfully join any of our meetings and any other Zoom meeting too.
  • How to download, install, and launch the free Zoom app.
  • How to connect in a variety of ways--through a link in an invitation email or text message, using the meeting ID, and using a telephone.
  • Don't forget to check the other tabs above for more information if you need it.

Additional Helpful Info

There are a few things more for you to know to help make your meeting go smoothly.

To ensure safety and confidentiality for all members of our group, please attend to the following:

  • Be sure to join the meeting a few minutes early to allow for correcting any technical difficulties you may have.
  • Please wear earbuds or headphones to help ensure others near you who are not members of our group will not hear what other group members are saying.
  • Also, ensure non-members will not see group members on your monitor. Keep them out of the room you are in, or position your display so others cannot see it.
  • Be sure to mute your audio when you are not speaking to help ensure a noise free meeting for everyone.
  • If during a meeting you don't understand something or you need some help, ask. Other members will be happy to help you at any time.

You'll Need Our Meeting IDs

We have two, regularly scheduled SAA Zoom meetings each and every week of the year. Each of them has its own meeting ID which you will need to join.

  • Step Study Workshop
  • Mondays, at 10:00 am Pacific Time, (U.S. West Coast Time)*.
  • SAA Mens's Zoom Recovery Group
  • Wednesdays, at 10:00 am Pacific Time, (U.S. West Coast Time)*.
    • When you're ready to join us, just fill out and submit the form below and request one or both of the meeting IDs.
    • It would be helpful too if you tell us if you are new to our group, if you are new to SAA, and from where in the world you'll be joining us.
  • We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
  • *You can convert our meeting times to your local time by clicking this link Time Zone Converter.
