Hello everyone!
I have been working very hard on something I hope you will find fun and useful! I have been comparing the various versions of Neverwhere (the mini-series, the graphic novel, the radio play, the original book), and I have created these multimedia posters of each of the characters, significant locations, and events that showcase the similarities and differences of each medium.
I still have a few more to go (Lamia, Varney, Hammersmith, The Fop with No Name, The Gap Monster), and if you wish me to create one for a particular person or moment, please let me know! I apologize for the funky formatting of some of them (a software glitch keeps making text and images jump around after I save them. I also highly recommend looking at all of them, as several of them have items that pertain to multiple characters, but I only put the item on one poster (like scenes from the mini-series).
So far, I have:
Anesthesia and the Ratspeakers
I also discovered some amazing clips on BBC Radio of Neil Gaiman speaking about Neverwhere:
Why he wrote Neverwhere (look for something from me about loss, forgetfulness, apathy, and homelessness in the coming weeks!)
On the Evolution of Neverwhere
On playing a few characters in the radio play (Mr. Figgis the security guard, and the Fop with No Name)
And probably the most important of all of them: how the London Underground Stations inspired places and people in London Below (look to see a history of the London Underground stations mentioned in Neverwhere coming soon from me)
I hope this helps, and as always, please let me know if there is anything that I can gather for you that would be useful, big or small!
