Quantitative assessment of neurite outgrowth is significant and critical in many biological analyses to analyst cellular morphogenesis. Measurements such as length of dendrite, number of cell, area of cell enable biologist to better understand cell functionalities especially on the context of neuroregeneration. Measuring neurite is the subjective and tedious task to biologist to quantify every single cell with various measurements. Furthermore, manual delineation and quantify is labor intensive and time consuming. No doubt, a fully automatic cell quantitative tool is preferred by the biologist to save their valuable time and effort on cell quantifying. Thus, increasing their productivity in directly and more time can be allocated to perform neurite outgrowth analysis.
We introduce a software package named NeuronCyto. It is a fully automatic solution for neurite length measurement and complexity analysis. With it, biologist expert is able to perform quantitative assessment of neurite outgrowth to be analysed easily and efficiently. NeuronCyte have been fully tested and validated by our biologist to perform their quantitative assessment. NeuronCyto's users are biologist researchers and industrial scientists, but it is also potential used for teaching on biological quantitative assessment of neurite outgrowth.
