The FrugalMan Practice Triathlon is a free, informal opportunity to practice swimming, cycling, running, and transitions in a relaxed setting. The event is typically held during the open-water season at Farm Pond in Sherborn.
The next date has not yet been announced. Check back for updates or message us if you are interested in participating.
Open-water swim at Farm Pond. The distance and course may be adjusted based on conditions.
Participants may complete the full course or adapt the session to their current training needs.
FrugalMan is intentionally simple and informal. There is no entry fee, official timing, race support, aid stations, awards, shirts, course staff, or equipment transportation. Participants bring everything they need and remove all belongings afterward.
This is a practice session, not a formal race. It offers an opportunity to work on open-water swimming, bike and run pacing, transitions, and early-season fitness without the pressure of a timed event.

Final participation requirements, safety information, meeting details, and any weather-related changes will be provided when the next session is announced.
Open-water swimming and cycling on public roads involve inherent risks. Participants should have appropriate experience, follow applicable rules, use proper safety equipment, and never participate alone in the open water. The session may be changed or canceled because of weather, water conditions, site access, or other safety concerns.
Details may vary from one session to another. Please message us before attending so we can confirm the date, meeting time, course, access information, and current plans.
