Our friends at betshoot.com have perfectly summarised this upcoming EPL match
Everton are 9th in the table, while their opponents are 2nd and in the last month/s both teams are going in different directions. Everton's coach Marco Silva still didn't succeed to fascinate both the president of the club and Everton supporters, because of the lack of consistency in club's results. They continue to mix wins and losses and you really don't know what to expect by the players of this team- one time you can see players, who play motivated and destroyed Burnley from the beginning of the match and in other cases to see totally unmotivated performances and losses like 3:6 against Tottenham or 1:3 against the Wolves as it happened in the last round.
The pressure over Marco Silva is rising every single week as all supporters of the club expect results and consistency in club's performances. The odds in the last game were very strange for me- over 2 odds against the Wolves at home before the start of the game(you can smeel something is going to happen here different from home win). I really don't expect to see something different by Everton against City, which team loves to controll the possession and everything which happens on the pitch. Everton have some missing players- Jagielka is out, together with Mina and Baines(defensive problems), while Gueye is doubtful.
Manchester City are back in the race for the title. Liverpool made two consecutive draws and now the difference between the teams is only 3 points with equal number of games. Still there is a plenty of matches till the end of the season, so everything can happen, but it was obvious in the start of the season these two managers will fight for the trophy. With a win tonight City will be back on the 1st place once again on goal difference with equal points as Liverpool, so that has to motivate City's players for sure. I have no doubt they will attack since the beginning and an early goal for City is not excluded at all. In the last two games against Newcastle and Arsenal, Man.City opened the scoreline in the first seconds of the matches with goals by Aguero. I expect him to lead the attack once again, supported by Sterling and Sane. Really hope to see Mahrez amongst the starters, but maybe he will be substitution once again. Bravo, Mangala and Company are out for City, while Mendy is doubtful and Pep can even risk to start from the beginning with him. I really prefer to see City with Mendy as a back+Laporte and Stones in the middle of the defense, instead of Delph amongst the starters. In the last game against Arsenal, Pep used strange pair of central backs, which I don't think he will repeat against Everton(Fernandinho and Otamendi).
If we look at their H2H, it's obvious there were a lot of ups and downs for both teams. In the last 4 seasons at Goodison Park we can see different results like 1:1/0:2/2:1/4:0/1:3...I can make one conclusion by all these results- it depends on the current form what to expect by both teams in this match in Liverpool. The moment is totally on City's side, the guests proved they are getting better and better after losses. When City lost against Leicester as guests with 2:1, then they made 8 consecutive wins. Now they lost with the same result against Newcastle and bounced back with 3:1 win against Arsenal. Can they repeat such a long winning streak once again?
Unlikely. Our tip is a parlay -go with Man City and both teams to score (BTTS)
