My research work is based on the tiny machines which are generally in micro/nano size. We are also called micro/nano robots. These micro/nano robots can performed many tasks in nano confinement and have applications in digital microfluidic, sensor and energy harvesting applications. The dynamics of the nano robots can be controlled by the external sources such as electrical field, magnetic field, light source and pH gradient. We know that living organism (such as bacteria) shows the different dynamics such as wobbling, transnational motion, rotational motion and deformation. Some time, these bacteria can divided and generate so many bacteria. So, we are try to prepare the artificial robots which can show the behavior as microorganism. Some artificial robots are ...
1. Graphene Superbots
2. Oilbots
3. Liquibots
4. Fluid Toroids
2. Electrowetting on soft surfaces
Electrowetting is a modification of the wetting properties of the surface using applied electric field.
3. Nano Pattern formation on different surfaces
Nanoparticles behave and look very different from solid gold, and have extraordinary electro-optical properties. They can be used for chemical sensors, drug delivery and photo-voltaic applications. After evaporation, a nanoliter droplet of gold solution with dyes forms a beautiful structure, which looks like the branches of a tree.
4. Micro/nanochannel fabrication
We have developed very simple technique for manufacturing of microchannel of different sizes using different molding materials.
5. Two dimensional material research
6. Bio-gas, Bio-oil production from biomass
