Availability: Rare to Common
This printing year started the modern era. The table of contents is in the modern form (article 250 is Grounding). This is the year that code books started to be more available.
They are not what I consider rare.
Convenience outlets went from being "recommended" to being "required" every 20 linear feet (10 foot rule) spacing along the wall, so I guess they had a 10' rule at that time. it changed to a 6' rule in 1956.
