Nate G. Hilger

Economist & Data Scientist

Home

Welcome to my website. I am an economist and data scientist at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative where I work on efficacy in education.

Previously I have worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Brown University, an affiliate at the Population Studies and Training Center at Brown University, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (education and labor groups), and an economist at Stripe in San Francisco.

My academic research has examined issues in labor and public economics with a focus on education, families, opportunity, and inequality. At Stripe I conducted research on business and consumer behavior in online commerce, and co-founded the Stanford-Stripe Survey of Internet Entrepreneurship.
