A Note From the Production Team:
Na Paisti Na Cumhachta is an ancient book of lore that is held in the realm of magic. It is a book that Charity Patch brings into the realm of the physical whenever she needs to help any children - what she calls "gassons" or "chislers" - understand their lives. The book is so old no one knows its origin, not even Charity. Recently she approached Golden Cloud Stories to bring the stories to everyone. Thus we are collaborating on this blog together (she's not great with tech...).
We are also working with her on a TV show called Pooka's Passages. This will be an educational show for children of all ages. Na Paisti Na Cumhachta will appear in the series.
Learning is best when one experiences what they learn. Stories are an ancient way to do this.

These moral truths are universal and show up in parables from Christian, Indian, Greek, and Buddhist faiths to stories by Aesop and Raju. Thus it is easy to draw comparisons to different stories from different faiths.

Golden Cloud Stories was approached by Laura Gibbs with the University of Oklahoma. She is a lecturer on Indian Epics. Laura heard about our work with the old book and wanted to know if there were any stories that were similar to ancient Indian stories. Charity was delighted to assist in finding parallels. So without further ado, we present:
Charity Patch
Welcome! Welcome! Please come gather ‘round. Thank you to the producers for providing us with this forum. This is the first time I will be sharing one of the old tomes of knowledge with people outside our world of magic.
I am so happy to have this opportunity to talk with you my friends and share some of the amazing stories inside this book. Laura Gibbs had an excellent idea! Many stories began by people telling each other fantastic events of the past, well before the written word. Hence why so many different faiths have similar stories!

I come from a land far, far away in the isles of Great Britain. Ireland to be exact. I have been here long and long, going from place to place helping little gassons just like you! I help them find their place in the world! Sometimes, one of those little chislers has extraordinary powers. When I find someone like that I help them understand those powers.
You see, I am more than I appear to be, my little ones. I am Mab, queen of all magic. For many, many years I ruled the land of magic. I grew tired of this though. I missed the fun of divining and developing magic in new places and people!
What we used to call a selfie! This is me back in my ruling days!

I passed my crown to my son, Lord Oberon, who now rules the world of magic so I can do what I love: I seek out little chislers with extraordinary powers and help them to nurture those abilities. In doing so they help build the magical realm.
This particular book is one of the oldest that deal with little ones like this. It is called Na Paisti Na Cumhachta. Literally translated into your American language it means The Color Children. It is older than time itself, so no one knows the origins. I was even taught it when I was a wee faerie lass!
You see, my gassons, every person emits an energy around them. Think of it as a halo, or aura, that surrounds them. Only people who concentrate hard enough can see those auras. Some folks have red auras, some have yellow. Chislers with an indigo-colored aura, a color like a mixture of blue and red, those folks are naturally able to do things that other chislers cannot. These powers manifest themselves in different manners mind you. The power comes from the mental energy those children can put into making things happen or sensing new things.
Something I found from the web, isn't it cool?

Mind speak, or speaking to other people, animals, plants or things, is an example of listening intently to feel the energy of thoughts. You must open yourself up to the world around you. Feel the energy vibrations of each living thing. The rocks. The air. The animals. Of course, listening to the world around you and hearing what you didn’t before is the easiest thing to do...but most people would rather listen to their own voice rather than chattering plants. If you can hear these, though, you are well on your way to being an Indigo Child as well!

Making something happen, now that is much harder! Sending your energy out to make someone change their mind, or move an object, or create fire even, is much more difficult. But it can be done. Anything is possible and everything is eventual, my chislers!
This book...Na Paisti Na Cumhachta...this book talks about those indigo children and the lessons they learned. I will add to each story some information about how it relates to one of the Indian Epic stories that Laura is teaching. It is rather poetic since the term Indigo comes from India! So sit back, relax, and let me tell you the amazing stories. Maybe you will find a little power in yourself!

The good people at Golden Cloud Stories are helping me to tell these tales.
