Lab

Our lab is a collaborative team of graduate students and postdocs dedicated to the description and documentation of understudied languages, grounded in functional-typological and constructionist approaches to language.

We regularly conduct linguistic fieldwork in different parts of the world to explore language structure in its full diversity. We also host the UTokyo Linguistics Colloquium, a regular lecture series featuring guest speakers on a wide range of linguistic topics.
