Project Design (Motivation)
Nanofluidic energy harvesting is the process by which energy in the form of electricity is harnessed from a flowing fluid through the use of nanopores.
At first, the main objective of this project was to design an apparatus that can harness 1 µW of power using this technology. However, after conducting testing, the team refined their objective to focus on creating flow through the nanoporous wafer which created the streaming current.
