Prof. Hyunyoung Jung is a principal investigator in the research laboratory of nanomaterials and energy systems at Gyeongsang National University. He received a Ph.D. in chemistry from Seoul National University in 2008 and was a research associate at Carnegie Mellon University in 2009 and Northeastern University from 2010 to 2015. He joined as a faculty member in the Department of Energy Engineering in 2015. He is a member of the Materials Research Society, European Materials Research Society, the Korean Electrochemical Society, the Korean Battery Society, the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Materials Research Society of Korea. His research interests include synthesis and structure-property relations of nanostructures and nanocomposites, materials science and applications of nanomaterials, next-generation energy storage systems, and phase stability in nanoscale systems.

Prof. Ghosh has been selected for a "Brain Pool program" by the National Research Foundation of Korea and joined Jung's group. 

He is currently an Assistant Professor in Centre for Nano and Materials Sciences at Jain University. He has been working on the development of functional nanomaterials, nanocomposites, and electrolytes for electrochemical energy storage and conversion for the past 11 years, including his PhD work on graphene-based materials production, processing, and incorporation into electrochemical energy storage devices such as supercapacitors. 

Dr. Senthil Chenrayan [link to ORCID]

His area of research involves the development of next-generation energy storage devices, in particular, Li-ion and Na-ion batteries,

(i) development of advanced inorganic materials through various techniques

(ii) through electrochemical understanding and basic electrochemistry (in-situ and post-mortem analysis) behind their electrochemical performances, and

(iii) device fabrication and prototyping of Li-ion battery modules.

Dr. Manuraj Mohan

He joined NBL as a postdoctoral researcher in the "Brain Pool program" of the National Research Foundation of Korea. His research area involves the development of next-generation energy storage devices, such as (i) high-performance Li metal and sulfur batteries and supercapacitors.
