Nandana Sengupta   

I am an economist with over a decade of international research experience at the intersection of AI and social science.  I am passionate about  questions around safety and equity of AI systems and future-ready skilling.  I also care deeply about questions of gender equity in STEM.

Multidisciplinary collaborations aimed at real-world impact are at the heart of my work -- my collaborators include renowned computer scientists, sociologists and lawyers, as well as technology startups and policymakers.

I am a Research Director at the Policy Research Center at NatCen, London UK. Previously I was an Associate Professor at IIT Delhi's School of Public Policy.  I have a PhD from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and postdoctoral experience at the Knowledge Lab, University of Chicago.
