Nandana Sengupta

I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Policy and Governance at Bangalore's Azim Premji University.

Prior to this I was a postdoctoral scholar at the Knowledge Lab at University of Chicago. I received a PhD in Economics at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2015.

My research revolves around improving the predictive performance of traditional Econometric models using modern Statistics and Machine Learning algorithms.  I'm primarily interested in using these techniques in Public Policy applications.

My teaching experience includes quantitative courses at the masters and undergraduate level including courses on Data Science, Regression Analysis, Network Analysis, Program Evaluation and Managerial Economics.
