Bio in brief:
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engg. at IIT-Bhilai (since Sept-2019). Prior to that I worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada (Apr 2018 - Aug 2019). I completed Ph.D. from I.I.T. Bombay in 2018 and M.S. from I.I.T. Kharagpur in 2011. I did B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Maharashtra in 2008.
My research interest includes droplet impact and evaporation dynamics, textured hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surfaces, colloidal particles deposit patterns/particle self-assembly, multiphase flows, computational fluid dynamics, microfluidics- drug diffusion and electronics cooling, and thermo-hydraulics for nuclear reactor. I use experimental as well as numerical tools for the research work. I have hands on experience of several experimental techniques such as high-speed visualization, infra-red thermography, confocal microscopy, surface profilometry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), image processing, etc. I also have experience on contact line modeling simulations for droplet impact problem using in-house code based on a dual-grid-level-set-method developed at I.I.T. Bombay.
