North Avon BMX Club formed in the early 80's at Horseshoe Lake. In 2006 the club's name changed to North Avon Christchurch BMX Club and is now located at Bexley Park, Bexley, Christchurch.

Through the years the club has slowly developed its riders and members and we now have some top international names associated with the club.

The earthquakes in 2010 and 2011 handed us some challenges including no water or power to the track. We successfully run events with the help of our fabulous club members and some good old kiwi can do attitude. We power the gate via a generator and tank water in for use on the track, porta loos have become the norm.

The council has just granted us a new lease at the front of Bexley Reserve in September 2013. We are currently working on consent applications so that we can start building our brand new track complete with power and water.
