2023 Membership

Time to dust off the wee bikes and get back on the gate!!

North Avon Christchurch (NAC) BMX Club Membership

(Existing Club members will be sent out an invoice for membership renewals) 

Membership is $40 per year for the first family member and other members from the same family are $10 each.

This money goes towards our BMX NZ affiliation fee, track repair and maintenance and running of club days.

NAC Number Plates - all NAC members are allocated a NAC number to ride on for as long as they are club members.  NAC sells number plates that comply with the BMXNZ Rules for $20.

 Note:  this excludes Sprocket riders as they receive Sprocket Rocket Plates from BMXNZ. 

It is the policy of NAC to ensure that all participants, volunteers, coaches and parents promote fair play at all times.  Riders are encouraged to be "good sports" and to co-operate with and respect other riders, coaches and officials at all times.  The aim is for all riders to enjoy training & racing, improve their skills and have fun.

BMXNZ Race licences

As of 2023, BMXNZ has moved all licensing to the Sporty.co.nz platform; NAC BMX are no longer taking payment or processing BMXNZ Licences directly. Instead, get your BMXNZ Race Licence here!!

Membership has 5 types as follows;

• Strider Licence for riders aged UCI 4 & below on Strider/Balance Bikes. $5 (1/1/2023 - 31/12/2023)

• Kiwi Sprocket Rocket for age UCI 7 and under. $50 (1/1/2023 - 31/12/2023)

  • • The Kiwi Sprocket Rocket programme is to help teach the younger kids about safe riding and is the only BMX NZ membership option for age UCI 7 and under riders.

    • Sprockets can compete in all events including Nationals, North & South Island Titles, Regional Champs and National Qualifying Meets as well as local interclub events.

• Region Licence for age UCI 8 and over. $30 (1/1/2023 - 31/12/2023)

  • • For riders just starting out that want to do some racing.  This license allows entry to race local interclub events and any trophy meets throughout the region that are not designated National Qualifying Meets.

• Challenge Licence for age UCI 8 and over. $80 (1/1/2023 - 31/12/2023)

  • • For riders who want to compete at Nationals, North & South Island Titles, Regional Champs and National Qualifying Meets as well as local interclub events.

• Championship. $80 (1/1/2023 - 31/12/2023)

  • Senior and Junior Elite riders only.

 UCI age = the age a rider is turning in this year. Example - a rider turning 7 sometime this year (i.e. birthday between 1 January and 31 December), is UCI 7, even if their birthday is on 31 December.
