Alongside our involvement in Diagrams 2022, we want to share our latest tools with the world! We have an "RST Editor" (http://rep2rep.cl.cam.ac.uk/) and a "RISN Editor" (https://aaron.stockdill.nz/repnotation/). They're complicated tools, but we hope to roll out more help and tutorials in the near-ish future!

We are very pleased to welcome Lianlong to the rep2rep team! He will be working on several projects, notably helping us prototype applications of our frameworks.
8 June 2022
Our paper "Representational Interpretive Structure: Theory and Notation" has been accepted for publication at the Diagrams 2022 conference! This paper covers a lot of ground on our recent work on understanding how people interpret representations. Even more reason for us to say: see you in Rome!
20 May 2022
Our paper "Examining Experts’ Recommendations of Representational Systems for Problem Solving" has been accepted as a short paper at VL/HCC 2022! In this paper, we explored when teachers recommend different representational systems to their students. We will be in Rome to present this, so look forward to seeing everyone, possibly in person!
29 March 2022
We are delighted to announce that we will be presenting a tutorial at Diagrams 2022 on Representational Systems Theory! This will be a fun, example-driven session where you can play with our interactive tools, and understand why we think RST will drastically improve the theory and discourse around diagrammatic representations.
Hope to see you there!
2 December 2021
Congratulations to Dr Aaron Stockdill for passing his viva with minor corrections! The title of his dissertation is "Automating representation change across domains for reasoning".
18 October 2021
We are delighted to announce that Dr Gem Stapleton will be a Keynote Speaker at the upcoming Diagrams 2022 and VL/HCC 2022 conferences, which will be held in September in Rome. We hope you will be able to join us there!

We are thrilled to announce that the rep2rep research project will be continuing on through 2020 and beyond. Building on the success of the pilot research we have done to date, we have been awarded two new EPSRC grants and have been able to bring on Dr Gem Stapleton as a researcher based at the University of Cambridge.
Gem is an expert in diagrammatic logics and information visualization. Welcome aboard, Gem!

We would like to invite you to participate in a study called “Thinking About Numbers”. The study involves an online questionnaire that asks you to complete several types of questions that involve working with or thinking about numbers, and tasks involving numbers. We would like you to participate even if you don’t feel particularly confident using numbers, as we need to understand how people of all abilities problem-solve.
The length of time the questionnaire takes will vary between people, but should take between half an hour and an hour. As a thank-you for your time, you will receive an £8 Amazon voucher for completing the questionnaire.
You can take the questionnaire here: http://users.sussex.ac.uk/~gg44/rep2rep/profiling/
