The World Language Department presents…
CLIFF 2014
Culture & Language International Film Festival
Join us for a free educational and entertaining evening as we explore
the link between culture and language.
These films provide rich themes for students, faculty, staff and members of the community to understand and expand their knowledge on diverse cultures. They will see how often populations are more similar than they are different. Understanding leads to empathy which is conducive to better learning and will allow constructive ways to view and resolve issues raised. Participants will enhance their self-esteem as they will see examples of a diverse population as themselves, and how it is through empowerment and knowledge that they tackle conflicts in life such as war, poverty, disaster, and government control.
FREE ADMISSION
Hosted by faculty in the World Language Department.
