Dear MVMS Families,

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! The mission of the MVMS PCO is to support educational, social, enrichment and technology programs that benefit all students, faculty, and staff. The PCO is a working relationship, forging a partnership of parents, teachers, staff and the administration of Veterans Middle School.  As parents or guardians of children attending MVMS, you are automatically a member of the PCO and we look forward to working with you. We encourage you to attend our PCO meetings and Principal’s Coffees, held every other month.  Attending is a great way to get involved and stay informed.  We plan to hold our first meeting on Friday, September 15th at 8:30am via Zoom. Stay tuned for more details.

The PCO has funded enrichment programs, student events and contributes to teacher needs that directly benefit our students.  One of the important ways in which we receive these funds is through the Magic Hat Thrift Shop! Every hour we volunteer at the Magic Hat turns into money. Last year your volunteer hours earned over 34K! Donating your time during our school’s scheduled week really adds up! You can also donate small furniture items or do laundry to earn hours. Our first Magic Hat Week is September 19th through the 23rd. We also collect funds through contributions by our generous MVMS families. If you wish to make a donation, you may do so via PayPal https://sites.google.com/site/mvmsparentsco/donate, via the directory or make your check payable to MVMS PCO and return it to the office. A donation form is attached at the end of this letter for those wishing to donate via check. Please note that the MVMS PCO Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program.

Our family directory is online again this year. Please update your family information including team and cohort by using the following link: https://mvmsparentsco.membershiptoolkit.com/. If you have been listed in the Village School directory your previous information should already be included.  Every new family must create a new account. For new members, when you create an account, an email invitation is sent from Membership Toolkit to verify that a valid email address has been entered. If you already have a Membership Toolkit account with another MHD Public School, you can use the same email and password to log in. All PCO emails will be generated through this database going forward and we don't want to leave anyone out.
