Saturday 6th July saw Museum Bowls host their annual Geoffrey Parkinson Memorial day with Family and Friends joining in the fun.
The weather held off long enough to complete the day with a new name on the memorial sheild.
Congratulations to all teams taking part and to everyone who donated a raffle prize, bought a ticket, baked the cakes to mention but a few which helped to raise in excess of £1200.00
On the playing side the honours this year went to the ''Royals'', Captained by Gill Duffell, ably assisted by sister Chris, brother in law, Cy, son Ian, grandson Joshua and last minute new member Terry.
Runners up were the ''Bowling Stones'' who defeated last years winners ''Alive at 65'' in the Semi Final while the Royals overcame ''The Parky Blinders''.
