The Muhlenberg Botanical Society of Lancaster PA meets on the 3rd Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Spring from February to May and in the Fall from September to November. Meetings are at the North Museum and/or Zoom (link emailed to MBS members) or outdoors as noted.
Various field trips to explore interesting native plant habitats are scheduled through much of the year. A native plant exchange among the members is held twice a year. Annual membership dues are $15 per household or $10 for students not included in a household. Contact information for questions and comments can be found in the newsletters.
The primary missions of the Muhlenberg Botanical Society are:
To help members and the general public learn about and appreciate native plants in South-central and South-eastern Pennsylvania, with emphasis on the identification and ecology of plants.
To share knowledge of the phylogeny, biogeography, and ecology of plants and flowers in the Mid-Atlantic region and around the world.
To help preserve native plants through cultivation and habitat restoration.
