Career Objective

To pursue high quality research in the field of Industrial Management and Engineering,

• to deliver productivity to the local and global industry,

• to impart this knowledge to the new generation.

Current Responsibilities

Currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering in the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. Following are the key responsibilities in the department and in the overall university;

As Deputy Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

• Deputy Director - Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

• Deputy Management Representative – ISO 9001:2015,

• IRCA Registered Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015,

• Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Quality Standard Procedures (QSP) for the QMS,

• University Ranking and University Level KPIs,

• Master/PhD Programme Review by HEC,

• Managing Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) by HEC,

• Coordination with Academic and Supporting Departments for HEC/PEC compliance,

• Training Faculty and Employees for the Quality Assurance in Higher Education,

As Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering

• HEC Approved PhD Supervisor, (supervising research to 5 PhD and 3 Masters students)

• OBE Committee Head in the department

• Teaching Bachelors, Masters and PhD level courses,

• Conducting Research in the field of CAD/CAM, Composite Materials, Tool Design, Project Management,

• Consulting Industrial Projects,

• Providing corporate trainings (Hinopak, K-Electric etc.),

• Programme Coordinator for PGD in Project Management offered in NED Academy

Experience

Following are the details of my research, academic and working experience;

• From 2016 to date - Deputy Director - Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC),

• From 2016 to date - Deputy Management Representative - Quality Management Cell (QEC),

• From 2015 to date - teaching Operations and Production Management and Project Management Courses in Executive MBA Programme (Department of Management.) in the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan.

• From 2013 to date - Serving as Assistant Professor in NED UET, as well as Deputy Director QEC/Deputy Management Representative ISO 9001:2015.

• From 2006 to 2007 - I taught undergraduate-level courses as Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering in NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. Following were the responsibilities during this tenure;

  • Taught undergraduate courses,

  • Lab Instructor for computer numeric control (CNC) machines,

  • Managed Product Development Center (PDC) to provide rapid prototyping, 3D scanning, non-traditional, and CAD/CAM services to the local industry.

• From 2004 to 2005 - I worked in Hinopak Motors Limited as Trainee Engineer and Production Executive. Performed several productions, operations, and project management Executive and activities as a key team member (Production Executive) of the Production Department, such as;

  • Design, renovation, and development of Hino Assembly Line for the new product range.

  • First assembly, time study, and work distribution of Pakistan’s heaviest prime mover (FM2P).

  • Design and development of the Vehicle Inspection Department on the Hino Assembly Line.

  • To Facilitate the Japanese Product Auditors as an Auditee.
