Muhammad Hataba currently works as a Researcher at the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering , The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS, USA. 

He is also an  Assistant Professor at Computers and Systems (CS) Department, National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Cairo, Egypt.

In 2015, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at Professor Ueda Laboratory, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Fundamental Science and Engineering, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

He has two Ph.Ds., a M.Sc and a B.Sc. He recently received a Ph.D. in Computational Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2022. His focus was Security and Privacy in Autonomous Vehicles. He also obtained  a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, from  Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Alexandria, Egypt, in 2019 and 2013 respectively. His research theme was "Code Protection by Obfuscated Dynamic Compilation". He received B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering, majoring in Computers and Systems from the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University, Dakahlia, Egypt in 2008. 

Muhammad's research interests include Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, Autonomous Vehicles, Compilers and Code Protection. He has numerous publications in various aspects related to Computer Security applications. He also has an extensive background in the fields of Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, and Software Engineering.
