A. Pre-Coop-Training Period (Preceding Term): things you need to do in the term before the Coop starts.
Week#3:
Notification to all CCSE students through the department / college.
Fill out the Coop Registration Form under the supervision of your academic advisor in your department. [Download: Coop Registration Form]
Submit or upload your filled Coop Registration Form. [Fill-in: Your Coop Registration Form] Deadline : Sun, Feb 02, 2025.

Week#4:
Notification to the eligible students through your department / college.
Week#5-6:
CCSE Coop coordinator will issue Coop Letters to the eligible students.
Week#6-10:
You (students) will apply to different companies (public or private) using copies of the Coop Letter, Transcript and CVs, and then select any one of the placement opportunities offered to them.
Upload your Offer or Acceptance Letter given to you by the company. In case of an offer by email, make a PDF file of the email and upload. [Upload: Your Acceptance Letter from Company] Deadline : To Be Announced.
Week#10:
Departmental orientation or Coop Guidelines by the Coop coordinator. [ See the PDF at the end of this page ]
Week#12-13: Early Registration:
CCSE Coop Coordinator will register your Coop course in SIS (You must have already submitted/uploaded your Acceptance Letter and Academic Petition in case of missing any pre-requisite). (Early Reg not done this year).
B. Coop Training Period (CSE/CSEN/DSEC/SWEN: 22-28 weeks in Summer + Term1, and SWE/DSC/CYB/CYBS: 8 weeks in Summer): things you need to do during Coop training.
Week#1:
Beginning of Coop Program in the company. You may need to provide attendance sheet at the end of Coop.

Week#2:
Submit the Contact Guide that contains information about your Coop supervisor in the company.

Week#3:
Submit you proposed week-wise Work Plan to be followed in your company (in a tabular form and/or Gantt chart).

Week#7:
Submission of your Company Evaluation (1) by your Coop supervisor in the company.
We have sent a link to web-form to your Coop supervisor in the company by email. Please remind your Coop supervisor to submit your 1st evaluation (for ALL majors) as soon as possible. Deadline : Aug 09, 2025.
Week#8:
Submit your First Progress Report which should include your Coop work till now. There is no specific format for the progress reports. [Upload: Your First Progress Report (for ALL majors)] Deadline : Aug 09, 2025.
End of Coop Period for SWE/DSC/CYB/CYBS. Note:- Get the Certificate of Completion of 8-weeks’ COOP from your company (SWE/DSC/CYB/CYBS only).

Week#20:
Submit your Company Evaluation (2) by your Coop supervisor in the company.
We have sent a link to web-form to your Coop supervisor in the company by email and mobile. Please remind your Coop supervisor to submit your 2nd evaluation (only for CSE/CSEN/DSEC/SWEN) as soon as possible. ... Deadline : To Be Announced.
Week#21:
Submit your Second Progress Report which should include your Coop work after the first report and till now. There is no specific format for the progress reports. [Upload: Your Second Progress Report (only for CSE/CSEN/DSEC/SWEN) ] ... Deadline : To Be Announced.
Week#22-28:
End of Coop Period for CSE/CSEN/DSEC/SWEN. Note:- Get the Certificate of Completion of 22-28-weeks’ COOP from your company.
Submit your Self Evaluation of Coop Training. The students will share their experience in the Coop company and evaluate the Coop training in that company. [Submit: Students' Self Evaluation of Coop Training] Deadline : Last Week in Coop Company.
C. Post-Coop-Training Period (Term Following the Coop Training): things you need to do in the term after you finish Coop training.
Week#2-3:
You need to submit your First Draft of Final Report. Your academic advisor in your department will review your report and suggest corrections to you (if any). You need to fix it as soon as possible.
Final Report are individual assignments and must be distinguished/different from others. You are required to write your own learning experience. Your Final Report must be different from others even if you had same company/project/group/supervisor. There will be no exception to this rule, and cheaters will get an F-grade.
Length of the Final Report: 40-100 pages for CSE/CSEN/DSEC/SWEN, and 30-60 pages for SWE/DSC/CYB/CYBS; in the standard format provided by the Coop coordinator.

Week#4-5:
Submit your Final Draft of Final Report. This is the Final Draft incorporating the corrections suggested by your academic advisor in your department.
Submit your Presentation File (10-20 slides) prepared under the guidelines of your academic advisor in your department. [Download: Sample of the Presentation]
[Upload: Your Final Report (Final Draft) and Presentation file] .... Deadline : One day before your presentation ... Your reviewer teacher will send you the link.
Week#6-10:
Coop Final Presentation to your academic advisor, Coop coordinator, other faculty members and possibly other students, etc.
Duration of the Presentation: about 20 minutes; 15 min for presentation and 5 min for questions.
Week#12-14:
Coop Evaluation will be based on the following components: [Details of Coop Evaluation]
Supervisor/Mentor’s Evaluations (15%),
Progress Reports (20%),
Final Report (35%), and
Oral Presentation (30%).
One printed and bound copy of the corrected and updated Final Report must be submitted to the Coop Coordinator (Females to Dr. Areej / Ms. Afrah in Yasmin Campus and Males to Dr. Muhammad Akhlaq office#2419 or Dr. Sami Alanazi office#2421 in Main Building - 1). Deadline: Within two days of your presentation.
Final grade submission by Coop coordinator to the department chair or SIS.

Notes:
To upload or submit a form, you must login from your university account. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the forms.
Forms or documents to be uploaded/submitted are highlighted in yellow. You need to submit most of your documents online.
Individual/separate Final Reports and Presentations are required from all students even if many students worked together in the same organization on the similar tasks.
Your academic advisor is also your Coop Advisor in the university (check your SIS).
Coop Supervisor is an employee in a company who supervises your Coop training on site.
Coop Coordinator is the one who coordinates all of the activities (it's me).
