Silas "Sly" Matheson was a mid-level criminal working with and sometimes under local gangs all across the Reik. Over the last 2 years "Sly" has become a powerful figure in the Empire's underworld. No one can pinpoint his precise rise to power however what little is known of the man paints a grim picture.

Matheson claims to have been a River Reaver working against the local self-proclaimed Lords in the Border Princes. He boasts having personally gutted and flayed a thousand men and bedded most of their wives, willing or otherwise. Though he uses a wicked sickle-like hook as a prosthetic for him left hand, conjuring images of grand Dreadfleet pirates of the high seas, the truth is whispered that "Sly" lost his hand shortly after arriving in the Reik, to whom is still unknown.
