Grodni Surehammer is the owner of the Axe and Hammer in the Dwarfen district of Ubersreik. The stout business-dwarf does however run a series of covert underground smuggling networks with routes from Stromdorf to Karak Azgharaz.

Grodni can acquire parts for anything, stew, brew or crew and is well known as the Dwarf with whom to avoid a tussle. Surehammer claims his great-great-uncle Gunner Surehammer found ancient Dwarfen Oathgold in a lost Karak and he used a minuscule portion of this to purchase the Axe and Hammer. The truth is likely much less impressive and boils down to a few stolen kegs and well-placed bullets during his time as a Mercenary in the Grey Mountains.
