The Baron is a tall and thin man in his mid thirties. His brown hair and beard are neatly trimmed. His piercing blue eyes command authority. He dresses in finery such as a red laced shirt with puffed and slashed sleeves, a black moleskin jacket and gold buckled boots. The crown of Manann is stitched into his doublet and he wears medallions depicting a stylized imperial skull and iron cross.

A plump grey pigeon, Von Schnell, is perched on his right shoulder. Eldred takes his duties seriously but he much prefers the company of pigeons to people. Eldred still secretly pines for Heidrun. Her disappearance unhinged him slightly. He marriage was arranged by his mother and he generally thinks little of his wife who has failed to give him any heirs.
