ABOUT: Charlie "Chum" Champlain is "Sly" Matheson's right hand man and infamous enforcer. He's an ex-Bailiff who once worked for the lower courts of Middenland and had a reputation even then for cruelty and scheming. He's a rugged, ill-kept Middenlander with a penchant for whores and strong cheese. He acquired his nickname as a term of endearment from "Sly" himself in reference to how he often throws Champlain "to the sharks" so to speak, either to local gangs or militia when he needs a diversion.

"Chum" is unique in that despite his thuggish nature and barbaric violence, he is half-way literate due to his time as a Bailiff and can even quote actual Reikland law from memory. This has made him both a valuable aggressor and defender for "Sly" Matheson and his criminal operations.

"Not to make a mess 'o fings, Sly but uh... I'm starting t'fink we're doin' sumfin' illegal here...ha ha ha... ha"
