After a number of years of meeting in rented facilities in downtown Thika the Lord provided a building for Lighthouse Baptist Church (LBC) to meet in right on the edge of downtown (you can look it up on Google Maps). The building had been built as apartments, but we were able to renovate it a bit to make the ground floor an auditorium. Toward the bottom of this page there is a link to several short videos showing some of this new building and the two previous LBC meeting places. They are helpful to be able to visualize what God is doing!

One of the key ways this building purchase was made possible was a loan from our home church, Mukwonago Baptist Church (MBC) in Mukwonago, WI. They are planning a building project in the near future but graciously loaned us $150,000.00 from their building fund to quickly help with the initial purchase of this LBC meeting place. We (along with Michael's brother, Stephen) worked on raising the money to pay them back. So many have given generously toward that project. We are very thankful for those who have contributed. As of December 2023 the money has come in to pay off the loan. We praise the Lord for that. Pray for the folks at LBC to be faithful to God and truly use that building as a "lighthouse" in downtown Thika for the life-changing Gospel.

We met here from May 2010 till around November 2010. At the beginning of this video the audio has a funny little glitch but then clears up.

2. Click Here ~ a video of LBC's 2nd meeting place in downtown Thika. It was called Liziki Meeting Hall in Thika Arcade; this was were we met from the end of 2010 till the end of 2021. The church actually rented two rooms in Thika Arcade.
