Thanks for visiting! I am the Bruce L. Payne Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics at Duke University, with a primary appointment in the Sanford School of Public Policy and a secondary appointment in the Department of Economics. I am also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

I research labor markets and how public policy can make them function better.
