Welcome Millers! This is my eleventh year teaching at Washburn High School. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. I majored in Communication Arts/Literature Education and minored in Coaching (feels like a very long time ago).
My teaching career started far away from my Minneapolis hometown in the beautiful city of Valencia, Venezuela. Before I set off to Venezuela, I was able to student teach at Washburn High School . Though leaving to teach abroad was difficult, I knew I would be back at Washburn some day. I could not be more excited to start another year at my neighborhood school! Being a slow reader throughout my middle school and high school years, I embrace the difficulties that come with reading comprehension and can relate to those challenges. I am always experimenting with new ideas and creative lessons to incorporate into the classroom in hopes to inspire my students the way they are constantly inspiring me!
