About Me

Ms. Holt has a nerdy fondness for bicycles, gardening, women's sports, and spoken Latin, though this is by no means an exhaustive list.  The bicycle she rides to school the most is named Eyecandy (Dulcisoculi).  She primarily follows Arsenal and Gotham FC for her soccer fix but is super excited to see a women's pro team in Boston soon. She and her wife report on Boston sports on her blog bostonwomenssports.com. Her favorite Roman author is probably Catullus, but there really are so many to choose from.  

She lives in a house in Boston with her wife, her sister-in-law and her sister-in-law's weird dog.  Because she is so meditative, she has a meditation garden in her back yard and has made herself a little rake to rake it with.  If, when you meet her, she does not seem so meditative, it is probably due to either a lack of bicycle riding or garden time.  Or food.  

Ms. Holt has studied Romans at the University of Virginia, the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University and Umass Boston.  Along the way she has managed to acquire a BA in History and Anthropology and a MAT in Latin and Classical Studies.
