Born and raised in Portland Oregon, I came out here to go to USC. I got a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Theatre. After school, I founded a non-profit theatre company and spent time doing arts education. I soon realized that I missed the science part of my brain being used, and began substituting to make sure teaching science was what I wanted to do. I quickly fell in love and pursued my teaching credential at CSUN. I worked for a few years at CHAMPS Charter High School, and I am currently at Granada Hills Charter High School. I have since earned my Masters in Science Education from CSUN, and I am a proud momma of my five year old son and 10 year old stepdaughter. I still actively run a non-profit theatre, and love to perform in my spare time.
