Meet Mrs. Urmano

Welcome to 3rd grade! I look forward to working with my 2021-22 classroom family. I hold my Master's Degree in Education and this is my 16th year teaching in the Sarasota County School District. I am very excited about being a part of the Venice Elementary family.

A few of my beliefs about a successful learning environment...

• Parents are an integral part of my students' success. When students see excitement and commitment about school and learning from parents, THEY become excited and committed.

• Every child deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. When students feel respected, they will take a more responsible role in their learning and interactions with others.

• High expectations for behavior, participation, and classwork are the norm. If the expectations are set high, every student will strive to meet these expectations.

There is a brilliant child locked inside every student.
