The assignment: create a Prezi, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or paper poster to show how your chosen chemical element or mineral is mined and what it is used for.
You can choose and element or compound the are used to make:
Rules:
1. Each mineral can only be adopted by one person per class--sign up with Mr. S.
2. Your project must be completed by the start of class Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
3. Stick with true minerals--not petroleum products/plastics, etc.
4. Use a minimum of three sources for your information.
Specifically, include the following in your presentation:
1. The name of the ore mineral or chemical element.
2. The source region on Earth where the element or mineral is mined.
3. Something about how the material is mined.
3. What the mineral or element is used for.
4. A list of sources you referenced for your project.
Pictures are good! Include some as part of your presentation! (Examples: photos of the mineral or element, source region and/or mines, objects that are made of the element or mineral.
