SUGGESTED - First Grade Supply List
Your classroom teacher has likely personally supplied most of these items for your child already.
Please review the 'Back-to-School' email / note(s) you receive to know which items may still need to be supplemented or gradually replenished throughout the school year before bringing any items to school.
Thank you.
Supplies all students need:
- One notebook – must be spiral bound, ‘one-subject’, wide ruled and contain approximately 80 pages (any color)
- One heavy duty 2-pocket folder (with NO insert and NO prongs please)
- TWO plastic ‘pencil’ boxes
Approximate size of each box should be: 8 inches by 5 inches (Anything larger does not fit inside student desks.)
One plastic box should contain:
Pencils (5 sharpened pencils or more)
'Pink` eraser or any hi-polymer eraser that works well separate from a pencil
Hand-held pencil sharpener that it able to catch shavings
White board marker (any color)
White board eraser (mini)
Yellow highlighter
Dice
Five glue sticks (Please note: First graders go through quite a few glue sticks over the course of the school year. Please always make sure your child has a working glue stick at school.)
Children’s primary scissors
The other plastic box should contain:
Crayons
Crayola Twistable Crayons - optional
Colored pencils - a secondary option
*Items sent in should be unpackaged &/or set up prior to arriving at school, as it is not possible for one teacher to assist in the unpackaging and set up of a full classroom of students' supplies.
Any donations of the following are welcome:
- Kleenex – There are usually quite a few runny noses throughout the school year! 😊
- Canisters of Clorox Wipes – These can be used to clean many classroom items, such as desktops.
- Extra glue sticks to our general classroom supply are also always welcome… 😊
Although many of the basic school supply items have initially been provided to your child by their teacher, please replenish and upkeep your child's consumable school supplies as the year progresses. Thank you for your cooperation!
