Expectations for Teacher:
1. A friendly, student-focused, and enjoyable classroom environment.
2. Encourage students to not feel limited by their perceived ability, but to put forth their best effort.
3. Differentiated instruction to maximize the learning of each student.
4. Instructional methods that build on students’ strengths and interests.
5. Familiarization of student's emotional and social barriers that they may face, to help them put forth their best effort.
6. Frequent feedback and monitoring of student progress.
7. Communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, successes, and difficulties.
8. Varied instructional style to allow for maximum student participation and interaction.
9. A professional facilitator, guide, mediator, and knowledgeable consultant to students, parents and classroom teachers.
Expectations for Students:
1. Come to class on time.
2. Have all necessary supplies (notes, notebooks, writing instruments, etc.).
3. Be prepared to learn and work.
4. Have respect yourself and others.
