Movement is important in the classroom. Movement helps students refocus and re-energize the brain. With movement helping the brain refocus it stimulates the senses. When students senses are stimulated it awakens the brain and gets it ready to learn and take in new information. Movement breaks also help to boost students listening skills.
During class time we will take periodic breaks to allow students a chance for movement. Below are some examples of things that may happen during a movement break.
