About Me

I am the Special Education Reading teacher for Eagle Rock Middle School. This is my twelfth year teaching. Before teaching at Eagle Rock, I taught in the College Community School District for one year, Cedar Rapids School District for nine years, and Muscatine Community School District for two years. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Iowa Wesleyan; my major is elementary education K-6 with endorsements in Reading K-8 and Instructional Strategist I K-8.

I am married and we have three children, Luke, Cambal, and Rhys. Luke, Cambal, and Rhys keep my husband and I very busy with all of their activities. We love being outdoors and spending time with our family and friends. Some of our favorite activities are hiking, mountain biking, tennis, and watching football. Go Hawkeyes!
