Science

We will be using Project Lead the Way (PLTW) this year for teaching science. PLTW is a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum. It is very hands on when it comes to solving real world problems. Our units of study are:

• How Can We Send a Message Using sound? (Smithsonian)
• Animal Adaptations (PLTW)
• How Can We Predict When the Sky Will Be Dark? (Smithsonian)

Social Studies

In Social Studies we will address:

• Community/Citizenship
• Wants and Needs
• Maps
• Holidays
