About Me

I have been happily teaching for 24 years, the last 22 having been at Maine-Endwell. I’ve spent most of my teaching time with students at the intermediate grade levels (third through fifth grades). I love working with this age group because as they learn academics, they teach me a great deal about life. Besides being a classroom teacher for Maine-Endwell, I've held positions as Lead Teacher, Numeracy Teacher, Newspaper Club advisor and Operetta director, and worked on a variety of school committees. I truly enjoy my job and appreciate the opportunities that Maine-Endwell offers both the staff and students.

When I’m not at school I love to spend time with my family. I live in Owego with my husband, Robin, who taught for many years at Maine-Endwell High School. We have a wonderful daughter, Whitney, who is an activities director for a local nursing home. Our son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Elizabeth, have blessed us with our first grandchild, Mckenna. We have three very spoiled dogs, Lorelei, Corduroy, and Merritt who also occupy our time. In our free time, my husband and I love to travel. We’ve been lucky enough to visit twenty-one countries, but our favorite place is right here in the United States, on the beaches of Delaware.
