My name is Anukina Garrison. I was born and raised in Fresno, California and attended Clovis Unified Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of arts degree in Liberal Studies and a Music Minor. Later, I received my teaching credential and Master's degree. I started teaching Academic Block and Drama at Kastner (my alma mater) in Fall of 2012 and have been here ever since! I am currently the drama teacher/director and yearbook/journalism advisor. I love my job and all the fun, silly and educational moments that come with working with the best junior high students around! Just call me the chaos coordinator!
My husband is also a teacher. He works with junior high and high school students, but as a music teacher. We have three kids: Younan (8 years old), Beneil (5 years old), and Eliana (2 years old). They definitely keep us on our toes! We love spending time together making memories whether at home or out on adventures. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with the staff and students at Kastner and look forward to another awesome year as a Thunderbird!
